Pomegranate Berry Smoothie

  • Ingredients: (Substitute juice, berries and yogurt for similar items.)

  • ½ cup pomegranate juice

  • ½ cup frozen strawberries

  • ½ cup frozen blueberries

  • ½ cup low-fat or nonfat vanilla yogurt

Pour pomegranate juice into blender first; then add remaining ingredients. Pulse and blend away until blended smooth. Serve!

Less Cleaning, More Enjoying

Skip the worries and hassle of messy blender cleanup and opt for a low-maintenance, personal blending machine. Designed with complete simplicity at top of mind, its jar and lid are dishwasher safe, making cleanup quick, easy and super-efficient.

TIPS & CARE

Before blending, always remember to put liquids and/or soft items in FIRST; then add frozen items and ice after. Do not chop or process foods such as cheese, crackers or meat, or hot food or liquids, as this will stick to blades or sides of jar. If blending action stops during blending or ingredients stick to the sides of the jar, turn blender OFF. Remove lid and use rubber spatula to push mixture toward blades if needed. Also, remember to wipe blender base, control panel and cord with a damp cloth or sponge.

8 Personal Stylist Services You Can Actually Afford

You don't have to be Beyonce to score fashion and accessories handpicked to suit your personal style. There's a wealth of affordable personal shopper services online that offer all the benefits of having a stylist on call, without requiring a superstar's salary

By Alesandra Dubin - March 19, 2013

Think personal stylists are only for the rich and famous? Think again! An array of new shopping curation sites make the service available to the rest of us — at a price that's totally accessible. Here's a look at some of the latest offerings and how they work.

CakeStyle
Fill out an online fit and wardrobe interview, and get a box of handpicked looks to your door — complete with a video explaining each outfit. Keep what you love, and send back anything you don't. CakeStyle's shipments even include a label and packing tape to keep the whole process streamlined and easy. Prices of individual items, like those featured above, start at $75.

StitchFix
First, create your online style profile, from which StitchFix will ship you five hand-picked items based on your preferences. Sometimes your personal stylist will choose things a little outside your specified comfort zone — but the idea is to push the envelope a bit. Try everything on at home, mixing it in with your own wardrobe, while using the site's styling tips for dressing up or down. Send back anything you don't like in prepaid USPS envelopes. Provide feedback for an even more tailored experience over time. The styling fee is $25, and clothing prices average $75 per item.

ShoeDazzle
Start out by taking a quiz, and get your personal recommendations for shoes and accessories from there. Beyond those basic offerings, ShoeDazzle now offers a higher-level service that works kind of like Amazon Prime: Become a V.I.P. member for an optional $9.95 monthly fee, and scoop up extra perks and privileges, including a more personalized shopping experience that includes a dedicated concierge phone line, an extended return policy up to 60 days — plus discounts. Also new for this year: Celeb stylist Rachel Zoe came on board as ShoeDazzle's chief stylist.

Shoe Mint
Here's another option for shoe addicts: This site offers a shoe collection designed by Rachel Bilson and stylist Nicole Chavez, and made with Steve Madden. First, take the online "style quiz," and then wait for a monthly shipment based on your preferences. Each pair is priced at $79.98, and you can choose to can keep or skip any shipment. Shipping is free.

BaubleBar
This site debuts new jewelry picks every Monday morning, hand picked by its stylists. Each new collection comes complete with styling tips to help you get the look at home. Additionally, you'll find new products on the site five days a week. Sometimes, BaubleBar partners with big brands for limited-time and limited-piece collections. Many items are priced under $50.

Birchbox
This site focuses on beauty and grooming products, helping you discover new items you might not otherwise have found on your own. Each month, you receive a selection of samples that the Birchbox experts have vetted, including those from both well-known and up-and-coming brands. Think makeup and skincare, with accompanying tips, videos, and even a magazine. Prices range from $10 per month for a women's subscription to $20 per month for a men's subscription. You can also buy full-size versions of the samples you love directly from the Birchbox Shop.

Shop It To Me
This one works a little differently: Tell Shop it to Me about your clothing sizes and favorite designers, and a virtual personal shopper will scour the Web to find items you might love. You'll get personalized "Salemail" email alerts as often as you choose with the latest markdowns, secret promotion codes, and V.I.P. sale events. It's totally free, and is designed to save you money by giving you a heads-up on sales and special offers that are in line with your tastes.

Trunk Club
Try this one for the man in your life! Trunk Club offers dedicated style experts who hand select guys' clothes, including a range of higher-end men's casual wear with brands like Eton, J Brand and Jack Spade — at prices on par with what he'd find in a department store (if he could stomach the thought of going inside one). Every so-called "trunk" includes free shipping both ways.
